Lokananta, the first recording company in Indonesia with a collection of over 40,000 vinyl records, is staring insolvency in the face.

ALTHOUGH over half a century old, the Lokananta building still stands solidly and grandly. The cream-colored building occupying an area of some 20,000 square meters on Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani 379, Solo, Central Java, is well-maintained. The grass in the broad yard is neatly arranged. So are the various plants, all well cared for.
