The Golden Receptacle from Penanggungan

Part of the stolen gold artifacts are golden tools or receptacles used as medium for prayer. That sacred function is possibly what attracts antique dealers to the receptacles in the museum.

The golden receptacle stolen from the National Museum in early September was first unearthed on the slopes of Mount Penanggungan, East Java.
