A Corner Named Dearborn

At the northern corner of Michigan, an aroma from the Middle East fills the air. That corner is called Dearborn, a city of 90,000 people just 10 minutes drive north of Detroit, in Michigan state. There are store signs on Michigan Avenue that read "Mecah Islamic Superstore" in English and Arabic, illustrated with a picture of the holy Kaaba. Just a block away on Bingham Road another store sign reads "Oriental Furniture"
