THE winter season in Israel this time felt more chilling than before. In Jerusalem, the only place where snow fell, the snow had not melted yet. The temperature in this ancient city, which normally ranged between 4 and 15 degrees Celsius in March, plummeted to below zero. However, at the Mizra Kibbutz, a 3-kilometer bus drive from Jerusalem, the water did not turn to ice. The temperature hovered at 5-6 degrees Celsius.
