Deadly Blowpipe

POLANG walked low to the ground, carefully and deliberately, holding a blowpipe in his right hand. The 13-year-old watched a sparrow perched on a branch of a kalapi tree, about 30 meters above the ground. The moment he was close to his target, he slowed down and stopped. Breathing methodically he brought the blowpipe to his mouth, and then blew the instrument as hard as he could. A skewer-like stick with a sharp point darted out of the pipe
