Duduh Sadarachmat: Our authority was abused

DUDUH Sadarachmat, Director of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) X, finally spoke up after the Village Cooperatives Unit (Inkud) owned up to being the owner of the 56,000 tons of illegal sugar. Duduh insisted PTPN X only imported 39,920 tons of sugar with the final shipload in Jakarta on April 25, 2004. After that, we never made any contract on new sugar supplies, he said.
