The old man speaks with great difficulty _ in a broken, irregular voice. Dressed in a light brown pajama and a white haj cap, he looks like any old grandfather. But he is emaciated, eyes hollow, devoid of any expression. The stroke he suffered in January this year left his mouth twisted to one side.
"Are you from TEMPO? Please don't ask questions that would put bapak in pain again," says the man's wife. The old man is unconcerned.
