Harmoko's `Man's Income'

Each month he would come to the office of the New Order finance minister with millions of rupiah in uang lelaki or man's income, a euphemism used by Harmoko himself to describe the money he received from Arswemdo. Among the Javanese, uang lekaki means a side income which a husband need not tell his wife about or share with her.
A side income of great proportions indeed! Sometimes Arswendo would come with a briefcase carrying between Rp50 mill
