THE newborn baby meant everything to Yanti (not her real name). Early in June she risked her life to rescue Leha, her week-old baby, from the hands of a baby trafficking syndicate in Sarawak. Jumping from a rooftop and running through the jungle, Yanti escaped from a house on Jalan Sekama in Kuching where the syndicate held hostage pregnant Indonesian women to give birth to babies for sale.
