THE Chua Chu Kang Muslim cemetery in Singapore was eerily quiet. Once in a while, the sound of chirping birds and visitors' vehicles were heard. Before a grave neatly carpeted by green grass and bordered by cement posts, a woman in a blue veil bowed her head, deeply engrossed. Her mouth muttered prayers requesting mercy.
