The Orchard Road shopping district was crowded and noisy. On the afternoon of Saturday August 9, people swarmed the many plazas and supermarkets. That was also the day Singapore celebrated its National Day.
Among the sea of people were faces that are uniquely Cilacap, Purwakarta, Tegal, Bandung and Kediri. It is not difficult to spot the Indon faces, as they are referred to by the domestic workers agencies.
