DENSE coarse grass covered hectares of barren land off the road in Dadahup village in the Central Kalimantan district of Kapuas when TEMPO visited the area two weeks ago. Ten years ago President Suharto dreamed of turning Dadahup and surrounding villages in the area into a rice-producing center.
