SHOCKING news came from Papua a few weeks ago. About 55 residents of Yahukimo district had died because of famine. The news affected many, including President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Papua Governor Jacobus Perviddya Solossa was no less shocked. As governor, he had never seen reports to indicate anything leading to such a situation.
