His most serious challenge, it turns out, is not coming from inside his own department, but from Senayan, as the House of Representatives (DPR) is known. At the beginning of July, the DPR rejected the Tax Bill proposed by Finance Minister Sri Mulyani. The reason was minute: the legislators wanted the Bill to be submitted by the President, not by the Finance Minister.
But the rumored causes behind the rejection were significantly more than minute.
