HISTORY was made in Central Java last week. For the first time, a woman was popularly elected as deputy governor. Last Tuesday, the Regional Elections Commission (KPD) of Central Java, declared the Bibit Waluyo-Rustriningsih team as winners in the gubernatorial-deputy gubernatorial race. They won 43.44 percent of the votes and will be sworn in this coming August 23.
