Arifin Panigoro's name has surfaced prominently in the media in recent weeks, following Bahana Holding management's plans to restructure its short-term debts. Bahana Holding, a government-owned financing institution, is in the midst of negotiations to reclaim trillions of rupiah in debts. Arifin's company, with debts of Rp650 billion in Bahana, places him second of Bahana's five major debtors.
