The plan to alter the elementary school curriculum has caused much anxiety among teachers and parents these past two months. Parents object to the English being dropped because of alleged concerns that children might become too 'internationalized' if they start learning a foreign language too early. Even the teachers are worried. The exclusion of science subjects from the curriculum was equally confusing.
