A few hours before the third Defend Islam Rally on December 2, the police of Greater Jakarta Region arrested 11 activists for the crime of treason. Greater Jakarta Police Chief, Insp.Gen. Mochamad Iriawan stated there were people piggy-backing on the rally, with the aim to overthrow the government.
