For Joanne Liu, 53, MSF’s President, the situation in Yemen especially raises concerns as the war that has ravaged the country since 2015 shows no sign of abating. She said the healthcare system in the country of 29 million population has completely collapsed and about 50 percent of the medical facilities has been paralyzed either because they were bombed or their staff injured in the bombing.
