Kwik Kian Gie: “Mega will not fall”

On his way to his office at the National Development Planning Board (Bappenas), the cellular telephone of Minister Kwik Kian Gie began to ring. The familiar voice at the other end of the telephone sounded emotional: “Why are you demanding that Mega resign as president?” Kwik denied saying anything of that sort, and had a heated discussion for the next 20 minutes.
