That particular incident took place years ago, but it is still embedded in Eros Djarot's mind. He had just returned from Germany then—one day in the 1970s. Fatmawati, the former wife of President Sukarno had telephoned him. After exchanging pleasantries, Fatmawati asked Eros to buy her some rice. "I had Rp75 in my pocket. I went to the store, bought some rice and took it to Bu Fat's home at Jalan Swriwijaya," Eros recounted.
