Usman Hasan: The government is wishy-washy about Aceh

ABIG battle was fought at Meunasah Teping Belangan, a village in North Aceh. Mohammad Hasan, an ulama (religious leader) of the Darul Islam/Tentara Islam Indonesia (DI/TIIIndonesian Islamic Army) was shot dead by the TNI (Indonesian Military). His house, with all his belongings inside, was burnt down. Hasans entire family sought refuge in Medan and lived at a refugee camp.
