THE fierce-looking statue which had stood for decades in front of the entrance to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) building, located at Pejaten Timur, South Jakarta, is no longer there. One year ago, that statue was replaced by a friendlier monument honoring the country's first head of state and his deputy, Sukarno-Hatta.
