POLICE Commissioner Marthen Renouw sighed with relief. After nine months of going back and forth attending the court hearings in the Jayapura court, eventually the judges gavel was banged in his favor. The panel of judges declared him not guilty. The charges of the prosecuting attorney that the 49-year-old man took a bribe from illegal logging bosses were not proven.
