LAST Thursday, the ad hoc human rights court at the Central Jakarta District Court resembled a military barracks more than a courtroom, as military personnel packed the room to watch the trial of Special Forces (Kopassus) Commander, Maj. Gen. Sriyanto. Clad in full Kopassus uniform, complete with red beret, the military officers outnumbered other civilian courtroom attendees.
