LAST Wednesday, the Central Jakarta District Court ignited new hope for advocates of freedom of the press in Indonesia, amidst the onslaught of defamation lawsuits brought against press corporations. The presiding judicial panel rejected a defamation lawsuit brought by Panca Marga Youth Group Chairperson, Yoga Santosa, and Panca Marga Secretary-General, Agoest Zakaria, against TEMPO magazine's chief editor, Bambang Harymurti, TEMPO journalist
