THE floods plaguing Jakarta citizens in early February are memorable to Hartoyo. When the disaster prevailed, Hartoyo, who was then in Aceh, was asked by his friends to leave the region and join his community of gays to help victims of the deluge. So, with his peers, Toyo, as he is commonly called, went straight to such flooded areas as Kalibata and Otto Iskandardinata (Otista).
