The visit of the Garuda CEO to the Supreme Court Chief Justice is considered to have influenced the lawsuit with Komodo Adiperkasa. Garuda indeed won the case.

THE story goes back to when PT Garuda Indonesia CEO, Emirsyah Satar, paid Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Bagir Manan, a visit at the Supreme Court building. This was on June 23, 2005. According to Bagir, that visit was a way for the two to get to know each other. “That was when we had just been sworn in,” said Bagir after Friday prayers two weeks ago. Indeed, Emir had just been promoted as the CEO of Garuda at that time.
