FOR two months now, M. Daud Abu Bakar has been downhearted. His farms and fields are no longer tended. Locals seldom see him leave his home in Lhok Seuntang village, Lhoksukon, North Aceh. The role of the 59-year-old as a geuchik (village head) is no more apparent.
