The hearing into a case of illegal logging against Adelin Lis has begun. But environmental activists are concerned that like his subordinates, Adelin too will escape justice.

HUNDREDS of environmental activists had been filling the grounds and courtroom of the Medan District Court since early morning on Wednesday last week. They came from a number of organizations such as the Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi) and the North Sumatra Anti-Illegal Logging Committee.
