The DPR’s legislation body is finalizing a revised draft of the Judicial Commission Law. The Commission will be authorized to impose penalties on judges.

THE Judicial Commission has been very hectic over the month of August. Discussions were held and a number of lawyers and NGO figures were invited to voice their views. Several Commission members also “stormed” into the House of Representatives (DPR). “We hope our proposal will gain greater force,” said Soekotjo Soeparto, a Judicial Commission member.
