THE Surabaya Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) building was suddenly deserted. Commission rooms on the second floor, normally full of activity, were now almost vacant. A number of members previously friendly to journalists turned sour-faced, most remaining tight-lipped. “Our members are focusing on police investigation,” said Commission A Chairperson Retna Wangsa Bawana, dealing with legal and administrative affairs.
