This seems to be the fate of businesses linked to politics. During the New Order regime, B.J. Habibie boasted that Indonesian Aerospace (IAe) would become Indonesia's mainstay industry. Now it seems that aircraft factory IAe is struggling to stay afloat. IAe has already incurred Rp205 billion in losses. In addition, it has suffered over Rp500 billion in losses due to widespread internal corruption.
