THE room is bathed in golden light, reflected from gold carvings on the wall. Red-and-white hanging curtains adorn the high glass windows rising up the left and right sides of the Officers Mess in the vast expanse of the Sudirman Public Hall. Around 4,000 blue seats are neatly arranged inside. In the front row, teak brown seats sit in a row. These are the special seats reserved for the senior advocates and special guests.
