It is hard to imagine how crafty Ryan—a serial killer—is in tricking his victims. Each victim was seduced in different ways. From promising his victim to become a restaurant boss, to offering a prospective business in a foreign country. One victim was even persuaded to participate in a spiritual pilgrimage to Puhsarang, Kediri, East Java. There were at least 11 victims successfully deceived by the killer who ended up in a “mass burial” on a deserted piece of land near the killer’s house—after which their wealth was pillaged.

ONE night, mid-October, two years ago.
A man visited Very Idam Henyansah in Jatiwates, Tembelang, Jombang, East Java. Ryan, as the man is better known, admitted that he did not like his guest.
He said he felt awkward every time his acquaintance called and asked him to meet. But there was something weird. Although claiming to not like the person, Ryan often asked him to “sleep together” in his house in Jatiwates.
