In the past two months, the Makassar District Court has acquitted 35 defendants charged with corruption. The Judicial Commission formed a special team to probe the matter.

THE special team is ready to go to Makassar. Set up a fortnight ago on Tuesday, this team, made up of a number of Judicial Commission members, will investigate the way the corruption cases have been dealt with at the Makassar District Court. “First, we’re going to contact the aggrieved parties and to request copies of the court rulings,” said Sukotjo Suparto, member of the Judicial Commission.
