Failing to get permission to prolong detention, police released two prosecutors suspected of misappropriating narcotics used as evidence. It will definitely complicate the investigation.

FLANKED by five attorneys, both prosecutors arrived at the Narcotics Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police. On Thursday last week, Esther Tanak and Dara Veranita, the two prosecutors, for the second time reported their presence as obligated. Entering the investigation room around 9am, they only left by evening. “They were also examined as suspects,” said Jakarta Police Narcotics Director Sr. Comr. Arman Depari to Tempo on Friday last week.
