A public prosecutor was questioned for demanding a lenient punishment and allowing an alleged drug financier to flee. The judge handling the case was also examined by the Supreme Court.

THE office was quiet. Situated at the rear of the West Jakarta Prosecution office, the room belonged to Sultoni, the prosecutor holding the post of head of the Pre-prosecution Section. On Wednesday last week, when Tempo glimpsed the room, the man in charge was not present. There were only heaps of papers on his table.
