THE case came to light after Agus Condro Prayitno, a member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) faction, confessed that he had accepted 10 checks valued at Rp500 million following the election of Miranda Goeltom as BI Senior Deputy Governor.
Several witnesses questioned by the KPK stated that the checks originated from Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) and were purchased by Bank Artha Graha based on an order from PT First Mujur
