THOUSANDS of prehistoric fossils and artifacts belonging to the Sangiran Early Man Site Preservation Hall were scattered throughout the confiscation room of the Sragen Police office, Central Java. Included among the items are elephant tusks, leg bones, and various other fossils. These are 700,000-year-old artifacts from the Middle Pleistocene era.
