Many cases of extortion by prosecutors result in little more than a slap on the wrist. More than 100 such cases have been recorded so far this year.

THE draft regulation on problematic prosecutors has already been reviewed by the Deputy Attorney General for Supervision. At the start of December, the proposed regulation will be discussed during a working meeting at Cipanas, Bogor, with a view to finalizing its adoption as an Attorney General’s Regulation.
