Simalungun Regency General Elections Commission member Robert Ambarita says Simalungun Regent Jopinus Ramli Saragih attempted to bribe him. Robert still has the check to prove it.

A WHITE envelope bearing the name of Etaham Hospital was presented by Jopinus Ramli Saragih to Robert Ambarita. Other than Jopinus and Robert, the spacious office of the director of Etaham Hospital in Berastagi, where the meeting took place, was empty. On seeing Robert hesitate, Jopinus quickly said: “Go on, take it and cash it at the bank.”

Both of them then left the director’s office and said their goodbyes outside the hospital entrance.
