Richard Latief is suspected of masterminding the disappearance of Elnusa’s and the Batu Bara regency government’s money from Bank Mega Jababeka branch, Bekasi. A fugitive since 2006, he was involved in defrauding a number of banks.

THE picture of a yellow dragon with an open mouth poised to attack was on the front of his T-shirt. Richard Latief, 55, was also wearing a pair of knee-length shorts. He was being held in the Jakarta Metro Police detention house. “I’m just a mediator,” he claimed to Tempo on Thursday last week.
Police have named Richard one of the individuals suspected of embezzling Rp111 billion in deposits belonging to PT Elnusa at the Bank Mega Jababeka
