The Supreme Court has blamed the governor of Southeast Sulawesi for scratching 13 DPRD candidates from elections. Apparently the governor is a law unto himselfhe's ignored the court verdict.
The seat of Kolaka's Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) chairman in Southeast Sulawesi, occupied for the past three years by Muhammad Jafar, has become a warmer one. On Thursday, 1 March 2002, the Kendari District Administrative Court ordered Jafar and 12 Kolaka DPRD members to resign from their posts. A Supreme Court (MA) verdict ruled the posting of Jafar and his 12 colleagues was invalid.
