THE article filled half a page of three national dailies—Media Indonesia, Seputar Indonesia and Rakyat Merdeka—on Monday last week. Unless the reader looked closely, it looked like a news story on a corruption case, illustrated by two news photos, as in a cover story. Even the headline was provocative. ‘Panda Nababan Protests, Prosecution’s Case is Based on Slander.’ However, it is only an advertisement.
