A police officers wife was found brutally murdered in a Batam forest. The National Human Rights Commission stepped in to investigate the case.

THE already hot Batam Island went into an uproar with the discovery of a dead body in Punggur forest, just 2 kilometers from the city center. The deceased, Putri Mega Umboh, was reported missing on June 26. Her husband filed the report with the police. Later, the 25-year-old woman was found dead in her Nissan X-Trail SUV down a ravine.
