The Tanjung Karang District Court acquitted two regional heads involved in a graft scandal worth over Rp145 billion. The Judicial Commission has deployed a team to look into this case.

Presiding judge Robert Simorangkir was taken off the panel, which had been hearing a top graft trial in Bandar Lampung. The incident occurred just as the trial was heading toward a close, and the reading out of the ruling was due. Robert was replaced by Andreas Suharto as presiding judge, early this October. The case trials being heard at the Tanjung Karang District Court saw suspended Lampung Regent Timur Satono and former Central Lampung Regent
