The Tanjung Karang District Court acquitted two regional heads involved in a graft scandal worth over Rp145 billion. The Judicial Commission has deployed a team to look into this case.

Presiding judge Robert Simorangkir was taken off the panel, which had been hearing a top graft trial in Bandar Lampung. The incident occurred just as the trial was heading toward a close, and the reading out of the ruling was due. Robert was replaced by Andreas Suharto as presiding judge, early this October.
