Suparman groaned in pain as the ambulance workers carried him away. The 60-year-old man had bandages wrapped around his hands and feet, which were just skin and bone. "He didn't put up any trouble," Muhaimin, an ambulance driver at Dadi Tjokrodipo General Hospital in Lampung, told Tempo on Wednesday last week, describing what happened on the afternoon of January 20.
When carrying Suparman, Muhaimin was at first helped by a nurse called Rika Aryadi.
