The Supreme Court overturned the appeals court ruling against Doctor Ayu and her associates, accused of malpractice. Some of her colleagues are said to have worked behind the scenes to ensure she would be freed.

Doctor Dewa Ayu Sasiary Prawani was apparently in no hurry to mix with the public. On Saturday two weeks ago, as soon as she was freed from Malendeng prison in Manado, she flew straight to Denpasar to meet her family.
