Facing four months imprisonment and Rp30 million in fines, cybercrime defendant Chandra Sugiono was recently exonerated by district court judges. Chandra allegedly pirated Mooryati Subidyo-owned Mustika Ratu's domain name. Chief presiding magistrate, Chasyani Tandjung, handed down the long-awaited Central Jakarta District Court's verdict on December 11, 2001. This was Indonesia's first cybercrime trial.
